This past Sunday four members of my photography meetup group had a road trip through southern Alberta where we visited a couple of Wind Farms. Not sure why they call them Wind Farms but I guess they are on land and they do produce something
First we went south of Fort Macleod to the TransAlta farm where they are so close you can hear them. We travelled down the road and stopped at various locations taking photos. After lunch in Lethbridge we headed out to Taber where we went to the ENMAX Wind Farm which supposedly is the largest in Alberta. Yes it takes up a lot of land but there seemed to be more generators at the previous farm. Despite the cloudy skies we managed to get some interesting images. Here is one of mine.

Nice! I’ve toured windfarm locales several times and always find them photographically inspiring.
Thank you for all your inspiring posts. I’ve nominated you for an “Inspiring Blog Award”. http://wp.me/p1ow8m-81
